My Scrap Nook

Well it's Monday. Other than the drama of my poor 2 year old princess getting a bloody nose from her 3 year old brother, today has been pretty good. We went for a walk in the beautiful weather. It was so warm and summery! I love summer! So last night I was able to get two scrapbook pages finished, minus the photos. Here are some pictures of my pages. Hope y'all like! :) A page for my princess. This page is for my eldest son's first haircut. The tiny envelope holds a lock of his hair and the tag has the journaling about his first haircut.

So, I was watching My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day videos and I saw how to make an explosion box. I decided to give it a try and make one for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I had TONS of fun with it and I have to say I am quite proud of myself! I never new I had it in me. I can't wait to see what I can do next! :D I made this dress out of paper, with the exception of the purple tulle over skirt, the butterfly wings, and of course the heart gems. This is the front... This is the back. Top view: I used some holographic Valentines that I bought on clearance last year. They worked perfectly! What the princess saw when she opened it. The finished product. She loved it! I used some soft tulle for the bow and cut the tags from the Cricut  Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.I then added some Cinderella stickers. I realize the box lid goes over the stickers, but in my defense it was my first try! :P I think it worked out well.

Okay, here I go! It is time for me to step out of my comfort zone and into a world I have otherwise found terrifying. I need a project that can help me grow while giving me something to look forward to outside of the motherly and wifely duties, (which I may need a break from but enjoy immensely). I have no idea what I will be doing yet but I am sure I will soon find out. I have already added some links to My Pink Stamper, who happens to be one of my new favorites!
