Bookm-ARGH! Card

Image
Good Monday morning, everyone! How is everybody today? I hope your weekend was fun. :) Mine was awesome. Got a LOT of cleaning done and then even more crafting done. Minus the fact that my chest infection keeps me from breathing....I had a good weekend. However, I am as clumsy as I could possibly be. I don't know what it has been this past week but I cannot seem to control my hands. They have been fumbling everything! Point in question? My first ever bookmark card. I thought I would try out another different style of card and I have always wanted to do a bookmark card. This one turned out BEAUTIFULLY...until I dropped my ink pad on it. >.> I was not impressed. Hence 'Bookm-ARGH' card. :) *tee hee*

I've really been getting into stamping lately. I am waiting for my first set of stamping inks from Close to my Heart to arrive, (along with the Artiste cartridge EEEEE!). The stamps I used for this card are from Close to my Heart. The main sentiment is from the "Po…

Hello, everyone! How are all you fine people today? I have a quick post today. I made another criss cross card, (I am ADDICTED!!!), and I wanted to put in a plug for a fantabulous website-Dropbox.com!!! I have been using it for a while now and I-CAN'T-LIVE-WITHOUT-IT!!! It is an awesome program that shares all of your files with ALL of your electronic devices! You don't have to transfer files from device to device anymore-it's AWESOME!!! It has made my life so much more organized and so much easier. Whether you are a crafter, business person, or just somebody who needs a place to store stuff, Dropbox is DEFINITELY the place for you to be! (No, Dropbox is not paying me to say this. I am doing this on my own.) So check it out and let me know what you think! Also, when you sign up, if you tell them I referred you, I get more free space and so do you! Did I mention that Dropbox is FREE? It is!! Just try it out!

Alright, here's my card today. The dimensions are the same as …

Hello again, everyone! Two posts-I know!! Awesome, huh? I have had my creativity ON since my hands have been of use and so I have a few projects to post. This post is all about my new favorite style of card-the Criss Cross card. I ran across it by accident on Youtube, (gotta LOVE it!), and thought I'd try it. Well I did. In fact I tried it 3 whole times last night. LOL I LOVE it! It's such an easy yet classy style of card that is different than your everyday variety. For those of you who need a tutorial, check out this one by Faith-Abigail. It was the first one I saw and the only one I needed. I will definitely be checking out more of her videos. :)

The card is 6 in x 4 1/2 in.
The insert is 5 3/4 in x 4 in.
The matte on the insert is 5 in x 3 3/4 in.
The triangles were cut from two rectangles. The rectangles were 5 3/4 in x 4 1/4 in.

Dimensions for this 'baby' are as follows:

The card is 3 in x 4 1/4 in.
The card matte (on the inside) is 2 3/4 in x 4 1/4 in.
The inser…

Healthy Shmeathly?!

Good fantabulous Tuesday morning, all!!! How was everyone's Labour Day weekend? Mine was filled with sickness. My whole family caught a head cold and so we lazied around wiping noses and watching Mighty Machines over and over and over again. Fevers are gone and all that's left behind are sneezes and slightly runny noses. My big boy, *sniffle*, is gone for his second day of school and I am learning new ways to fill my time without his chaos around. LoL (I say that with love!)

Getting kids to eat? Challenging. Getting sick kids to eat? I won't go there. In an attempt to get my kids to eat SOMETHING I decided on the healthiest option. Can you guess what they had for lunch?

SO, after making such a healthy choice for lunch, *ahem*, I decided to throw a little more 'health' into supper...which is hard to do when they choose Hamburger Helper for dinner. I am not a fan of Hamburger Helper but my hubby is and so it ends up on our grocery list every now and again. Again, al…
