Midnight Madness

Hey, everyone! I should NOT be up at this hour-but I am! Before I hit the hay I wanted to post a few pics of today's achievement. I made birthday cards for all the women in our Relief Society who have birthdays this month. I had a lot of fun using the positives and negatives of the same cutouts AND using the same designs but changing it up a little. I enjoyed using my Cuttlebug and my gems! I also had TONS of fun with my glitter gel pens! I even made the envelopes using my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The card itself and the flowers are from the Gyspy Wanderings cartridge. The cards are actually two tags welded together. they are cut out at 5 inches. The flowers are cut out at 3.5 inches. The inking of the edges and on the front of the cards was done using Martha Stewarts pastel pink ink. My gel pens are from Walmart, they are called Mainstays which is Walmart's own brand. they are acid free and so vibrant! They touch up so nicely! The stamp I used on the inside of the card is actually part of a cheap stamp set I bought at Walmart for a dollar. Simple but to the point. Alright,  here you go-Enjoy! I am off to la la land.     Thank you! LOL Yeah, I get some of my best inspiration in the wee hours! Probably because that's the only time my house is quiet...:P

Fall Mini Book

Hello, everyone! How are y'all?? I know I know, I disappeared for a while. The truth is, I lent my computer to somebody who needed it for the past few weeks. I am back and have a ton of stuff to show ya. For this post I have to be quick. I found out this afternoon about a design team call and it ends in 38 minutes! Talk about getting it in by the skin of my teeth! But not bad for only knowing about it a couple of hours! For the submission, we have been asked to do make something with our cricut that is new and it needs to be Fall themed. So, for my submission, I decided to do a cute little mini book for my sister who is expecting a girl in February. I enjoyed it so much that I think I am going to do another mini book for the other three seasons to complete a mini collection for her little one. I'm Finally Back!!! Well...almost.

Oh my goodness!!!! It is SO good to be 'back'! The past 6 weeks have been Hell!!! Ironically, the day of my last post, I got a prescription for an antibiotic to cure an infection I had in my right pointer finger. I have eczema and it is very sensitive to weather. During our hottest and driest week, my eczema became painfully dry and cracked which let in normal bacteria that is found on our hands. Unfortunately, I also have asthma and severe seasonal allergies. (Seasonal allergies were the worst this summer too!) So on top of all the 'fighting' my poor body was doing, the infection was too much and it overran my system. To make a long, and extremely painful, story short the infection overtook both my hands rendering them useless for the past 6 weeks. I am on my 6th or 7th course of antibiotics. After being in and out of the ER on IV antibiotics for a week and a half, and the infection only getting worse, the doctor finally admitted me to the hospital for 4 days last week
