MCCR DT Post



Good Monday, my special viewers! How are all of you? I hope your holidays have been pleasant so far. 

With only 15 more days left until Christmas, (OH...MY...GOSH!), I am crafting up a storm! For today's My Cricut Craft Room design team post, we have been asked to make something with a star. With so many options I had a hard time making up my mind as to what I would make. So, I went to my 'needs' list and realized I need tags. After flipping through the Art Philosophy cartridge booklet, I found the perfect item. This is what I came up with.


First I cut 2 tags  on white paper. One I cut at 4 inches and the other at 3 inches. I then cut the shadows at 4 and 3 inches on a piece of gold paper. You can find the tag image on page 40 of the Art Philosophy booklet.


Next I glued each tag to it's shadow, allowing the gold to come through and add color to the stars. :)


I inked the edges, added a sentiment which I also wet embossed, added some fake stitching around the stars and voila! Two star tags made in a matter of minutes.

I'm Finally Back!!! Well...almost.

Oh my goodness!!!! It is SO good to be 'back'! The past 6 weeks have been Hell!!! Ironically, the day of my last post, I got a prescription for an antibiotic to cure an infection I had in my right pointer finger. I have eczema and it is very sensitive to weather. During our hottest and driest week, my eczema became painfully dry and cracked which let in normal bacteria that is found on our hands. Unfortunately, I also have asthma and severe seasonal allergies. (Seasonal allergies were the worst this summer too!) So on top of all the 'fighting' my poor body was doing, the infection was too much and it overran my system. To make a long, and extremely painful, story short the infection overtook both my hands rendering them useless for the past 6 weeks. I am on my 6th or 7th course of antibiotics. After being in and out of the ER on IV antibiotics for a week and a half, and the infection only getting worse, the doctor finally admitted me to the hospital for 4 days last week

Bookm-ARGH! Card

Good Monday morning, everyone! How is everybody today? I hope your weekend was fun. :) Mine was awesome. Got a LOT of cleaning done and then even more crafting done. Minus the fact that my chest infection keeps me from breathing....I had a good weekend. However, I am as clumsy as I could possibly be. I don't know what it has been this past week but I cannot seem to control my hands. They have been fumbling everything! Point in question? My first ever bookmark card. I thought I would try out another different style of card and I have always wanted to do a bookmark card. This one turned out BEAUTIFULLY...until I dropped my ink pad on it. >.> I was not impressed. Hence 'Bookm-ARGH' card. :) *tee hee* I've really been getting into stamping lately.
