Then There Were Two!

Image
Good evening, everybody! How are you! I hope you have had a great weekend and are all geared up for Halloween. :) Sadly, we caught the flu in our house several weeks ago and it took a very long time to leave! So, we never got around to decorating our house this year. However, my husband and our 4, -almost 5!- year old son started carving the pumpkins today. They are huge!!! So huge, in fact, that it has turned into a 2 day job just to carve them. Today they cleaned the pumpkins out and tomorrow they will finish carving them.  Our daughter and absolutely no interest in helping, (I don't blame her). Our youngest, Embry, was content to watch so long as nobody came near him with the pumpkin innards, (again, I don't blame him). Here's some pics just for fun! Our sweet 3 year old  Ella modeling the pumpkins for the camera. HUGE! Almost half as tall as Ella! Our 1, almost 2!, year old Embry driving his cars on one of the pumpkins.  Daddy being silly. ^.^ ...

Fall Mini Book

Hello, everyone! How are y'all?? I know I know, I disappeared for a while. The truth is, I lent my computer to somebody who needed it for the past few weeks. I am back and have a ton of stuff to show ya. For this post I have to be quick. I found out this afternoon about a design team call and it ends in 38 minutes! Talk about getting it in by the skin of my teeth! But not bad for only knowing about it a couple of hours! For the submission, we have been asked to do make something with our cricut that is new and it needs to be Fall themed. So, for my submission, I decided to do a cute little mini book for my sister who is expecting a girl in February. I enjoyed it so much that I think I am going to do another mini book for the other three seasons to complete a mini collection for her little one. I used my cricut and the new Close To My Heart Artiste cartridge, (which I am IN LOVE with!!!), as well as the Art Philosophy cartridge. The pages of the book are chipboard pieces from Clos...

Bookm-ARGH! Card

Good Monday morning, everyone! How is everybody today? I hope your weekend was fun. :) Mine was awesome. Got a LOT of cleaning done and then even more crafting done. Minus the fact that my chest infection keeps me from breathing....I had a good weekend. However, I am as clumsy as I could possibly be. I don't know what it has been this past week but I cannot seem to control my hands. They have been fumbling everything! Point in question? My first ever bookmark card. I thought I would try out another different style of card and I have always wanted to do a bookmark card. This one turned out BEAUTIFULLY...until I dropped my ink pad on it. >.> I was not impressed. Hence 'Bookm-ARGH' card. :) *tee hee* I've really been getting into stamping lately. I am waiting for my first set of stamping inks from Close to my Heart to arrive, (along with the Artiste cartridge EEEEE!). The stamps I used for this card are from Close to my Heart. The main sentiment is from the "P...

Criss Cross Applesauce!

Hello again, everyone! Two posts-I know!! Awesome, huh? I have had my creativity ON since my hands have been of use and so I have a few projects to post. This post is all about my new favorite style of card-the Criss Cross card. I ran across it by accident on Youtube, (gotta LOVE it!), and thought I'd try it. Well I did. In fact I tried it 3 whole times last night. LOL I LOVE it! It's such an easy yet classy style of card that is different than your everyday variety. For those of you who need a tutorial, check out this one by Faith-Abigail . It was the first one I saw and the only one I needed. I will definitely be checking out more of her videos. :) The card is 6 in x 4 1/2 in. The insert is 5 3/4 in x 4 in. The matte on the insert is 5 in x 3 3/4 in. The triangles were cut from two rectangles. The rectangles were 5 3/4 in x 4 1/4 in. Dimensions for this 'baby' are as follows: The card is 3 in x 4 1/4 in. The card matte (on the inside) is 2 3/4 in ...
