Bookm-ARGH! Card

Good Monday morning, everyone! How is everybody today? I hope your weekend was fun. :) Mine was awesome. Got a LOT of cleaning done and then even more crafting done. Minus the fact that my chest infection keeps me from breathing....I had a good weekend. However, I am as clumsy as I could possibly be. I don't know what it has been this past week but I cannot seem to control my hands. They have been fumbling everything! Point in question? My first ever bookmark card. I thought I would try out another different style of card and I have always wanted to do a bookmark card. This one turned out BEAUTIFULLY...until I dropped my ink pad on it. >.> I was not impressed. Hence 'Bookm-ARGH' card. :) *tee hee*

I've really been getting into stamping lately. I am waiting for my first set of stamping inks from Close to my Heart to arrive, (along with the Artiste cartridge EEEEE!). The stamps I used for this card are from Close to my Heart. The main sentiment is from the "Potential" set (S1203), the dancers and bookmark sentiment are from "Aspire" (C1455) which I LOVE!     Great project Lisa! I am sorry about being sick. I was really sick too this summer and it is no bueno. CTMH is just amazing and I am so thrilled you are getting goodies in the mail. Do you have Doodlecharms?

    Thanks, Arin! Yeah, this chest cold thing has been running rampant in our small town. Everybody, and I do mean e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y, has it! It's horrible. I love my inks and have been stamping up a storm! I also LOVE my Artiste cartridge! It is the best cart! No, I don't have Doodlecharms. :( I have wanted it for a long time but haven't been able to find it. I heard it is retired so it'll be hard to find. Why do you ask?

Fall Mini Book

Hello, everyone! How are y'all?? I know I know, I disappeared for a while. The truth is, I lent my computer to somebody who needed it for the past few weeks. I am back and have a ton of stuff to show ya. For this post I have to be quick. I found out this afternoon about a design team call and it ends in 38 minutes! Talk about getting it in by the skin of my teeth! But not bad for only knowing about it a couple of hours! For the submission, we have been asked to do make something with our cricut that is new and it needs to be Fall themed. So, for my submission, I decided to do a cute little mini book for my sister who is expecting a girl in February. I enjoyed it so much that I think I am going to do another mini book for the other three seasons to complete a mini collection for her little one. I used my cricut and the new Close To My Heart Artiste cartridge, (which I am IN LOVE with!!!), as well as the Art Philosophy cartridge. The pages of the book are chipboard pieces from Clos

I'm Finally Back!!! Well...almost.

Oh my goodness!!!! It is SO good to be 'back'! The past 6 weeks have been Hell!!! Ironically, the day of my last post, I got a prescription for an antibiotic to cure an infection I had in my right pointer finger. I have eczema and it is very sensitive to weather. During our hottest and driest week, my eczema became painfully dry and cracked which let in normal bacteria that is found on our hands. Unfortunately, I also have asthma and severe seasonal allergies. (Seasonal allergies were the worst this summer too!) So on top of all the 'fighting' my poor body was doing, the infection was too much and it overran my system. To make a long, and extremely painful, story short the infection overtook both my hands rendering them useless for the past 6 weeks. I am on my 6th or 7th course of antibiotics. After being in and out of the ER on IV antibiotics for a week and a half, and the infection only getting worse, the doctor finally admitted me to the hospital for 4 days last week
